Nomophobia
Description:
This is a high quality art print that delivers longevity in its vibrant colours with exceptional sharpness and detail. We use a Canon inkjet printer, Canon ink and Canon photo paper semi-gloss finish. Canon inks are formulated to produce accurate colours that won't fade. The semi-gloss finish produces a velvety texture that has low glare and softened sheen.

Inspiration:
Nomophobia, a.k.a no mobile phone phobia, is the fear and/or anxiety accompanying the absence of a mobile device, lost signal or a depleted battery. It is a by-product of the Digital Age emerging as a behavioral addiction that indulges on tech. Symptoms may include panic, dizziness, and tremors.
This illustration is broken in 3 different pieces. NOTIFICATIONS, GAMBLING and GAMIFICATION, & ALONE TOGETHER. Each represent a different aspect of what makes mobile devices addictive. In each there is a figure melting at the expense of a mobile device, demonstrating the desolation of self into the aforementioned device. I feel strongly about how addictive mobile phones can be and as our technology becomes more engrained in our lives, I think it’s important to be mindful of our tech hygiene.
